A Reading Sample

Baking a Cake!



Our reading story this week was "Hedgehog Bakes a Cake" by Maryann Macdonald.  We made the same cake Hedghog makes in the story.  Yummy!

  • read and use ordinal numbers to identify position
  • identify numbers as odd or even
  • add and subtract two and three digit numbers
  • identify fractions
  • tell time 
  • use coins to model given values and make change
  • use tools to measure length and temperature
  • organize and display data as a chart, table, or bar graph and analyze data represented on a graph
  • solve one and two step story problems using multiple strategies and present results
  • use a calendar to find today's date and future dates
